Newspaper Membership Dues Calculator

This form is to help you calculate your 2010 NNA Dues, effective Dec. 1, 2009.
Some simple notes you need to know before filling out this form.

  • Dues are calculated on frequency and total circulation.
  • No commas or periods are needed to denote thousands.
  • If a category does not apply, please place a 0 in the box
  • Boxes on the right hand side of the form will automatically be calculated for you (except for the Postal Protection Fund).
  • Online Newspaper membership fee is a flat $500.

    Calculated circulation total = (Sum of the above two boxes) 		$
    Look at the below table to find out circulation rates.
    There is a $5.00 per 1,000 over 60,000 circulation.
    If your circulation is above 60,000 the next box shows an extra fee.
    Otherwise the amount in the calculated box should be zero.

Dues payments may be deductible by members as an ordinary and necessary business expense except to the extent they are used for lobbying purposes. For lobbying purposes 5% of your dues are not tax deductible. Please refer tax deductibility to your account. $12.00 of your dues goes to Publisher's Auxiliary.

Contributions or gifts to NNA are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
